Christy Appleby

Christy Appleby was a mother of four children, a beloved ed tech at a local school, and a devoted wife to her husband, David Appleby, until her life ended unexpectedly on December 10th, 2013. She was just 39 years old, and despite numerous discrepancies and red flags surrounding her death - her death was ruled a suicide, and her case was closed.

Six days before Christy’s passing, she had suffered a head injury due to alleged sleepwalking, though she had no history of such, nor did she have a history of depression. According to medical reports, Christy’s husband reported to the Bucksport PD that he “found her hanging” and “cut her down” before the EMT’s arrived. Through a clause regarding Christy’s head injury, David was able to receive a life insurance payout, which he did not share with her children and rightful beneficiaries.
